A- Outdoor Books. From adventure stories, to harrowing tales of mountaineering disasters, hiking books, or guide books, books are entertaining, inspiring, and informative.

B- A Pass to her favorite state park or an Annual National Park Pass provide endless opportunity for outdoor adventure! ($30-80). B- The Annual National Park Pass is $80 and can be purchased at the National Park Service website or retailers such as REI or LL Bean.

C- The Adventure Travel Journal $34.95 or the Mountain Cord Bracelet $7.19 are both available at Etsy. These also support small business owners.

D- Plush fleece blankets will keep your girl cozy around the campfire. These can be purchased on sale at Kohls for $15.99 and are available in lots of colors and patterns.

E- Rocky Mounts Maddox U Lock Bike Lock will help keep her favorite ride safe $24.95 at Backcountry

F- The Pendleton Throw Blanket is a little more on the luxurious side, on sale at Sierra Trading Post for $50.

G- The Hydroflask Straw Lid easily converts that wide mouth bottle into an easy sip-while-your-roadtripping water bottle. $9.95.

H- Hydroflask insulated stainless steel water bottles come in a wide range of colors and are virtually indestructible $49.95.

I – If you love the water bottles, you will adore the campfire mugs also from Hydroflask for around $24.95.

J- Beanies, Beanies, and More Beanies. You can’t go wrong here. Add a pom-pom like this Mountain Hardwear Beanie ($33.99) or go for a Native pattern from Pendleton. From Burton to Smartwool or CC, you can’t go wrong with a gorgeous new beanie. You can find great deals on beanies at Sierra, often for $15 or less!

K- The Classic Patagonia Nano Puff jacket. Ultra-lightweight, warm, and easily packable, it’s a bit of a wishlist item at $199. (The North Face Thermoball, Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer, Eddie Bauer MicroTherm , Marmot and LL Bean all have comparable items). If the price tag is a little steep, check out the REI brand puffy’s. They are great quality at half the price.

L-Gift Cards- She will have no trouble finding loads of great purchases at retailers like REI, Backcounty or Sierra. A gift card for a massage or a day pass to a local hot spring will soothe those tired muscles (and support a local small business).

M-Black Diamond Headlamp ($19.95). A must-have item in any backpack.

N- is for Nalgene. The classic, OG of water bottles. Available in a ton of colors and patterns, or get her a handful of awesome stickers to decorate it (see S). You can also stuff it with emergency supplies for an awesome gift ($15.95).

O-What on earth is this funky little hip belt you might be asking. If you live in bear country, this bear spray waist belt makes a great gift for the avid hiker ($18.95).

P- Any outdoor gal needs a compass in her arsenal errr backpack. The Brunton Compass ($29.99) and the Suunto Compass ($32) are great options that won’t break the bank.

Q- Smartwool Socks in a variety of funky colors and patterns are amazing! ($16.95). Check Sierra as you can often get these on super sale at around $8.00.

R- Homesick Candles! Words cannot express how much I adore thee. The Wyoming candle smells just like a snowy winter’s day. ($34)

S- is for Stickers! Available at local retail shops in any mountain town or online at Etsy or REI for less than $5.

T-Darn Tough Socks come in lots of cute patterns and make a great gift at around $22 per pair. Who wouldn’t like a killer pair of wool socks with bears or foxes on them?

U-What mountain girl doesn’t love hiking with her favorite four legged friend? Thinking of her furry companion will surely melt her heart! The Ruffwear Dog Bowl collapses, making it easily packable so your pup stays hydrated on those long hikes too ($19.95)

V- Speaking of her dog, this Adventure Ready Me and My Dog First Aid Kit is the perfect addition to her backpack ($50).

W- The Osprey Daylight Plus is the perfect hydration day pack ($60) for a day spent on the trail or snowshoeing.

X- The Patagonia Nano Puff also comes in a puffy vest ($149). Perfect for the in-between season (aka mud season)

Y- The Patagonia Fleece Jacket or Vest make a great mid layer or stand alone in more mild temperatures ($99-$139)

Z- The Arcteryx Atom LT is the luxury splurge of this years gift list. Don’t let the lightweight nature of this jacket fool you. It’s a great windblock, water repellant, warm and comes in great colors. While it retails for $259, check the Arcteryx Outlet store for big savings ($207).

AA- Give the gift of adventure! Take her on a hike, a snowshoe, a cross country ski adventure, or a day at the hot springs! This is a gift she will never forget!

Sta Sta Sta Sta Sta Stocking Stuffers!

If that list didn’t give you enough inspiration, here are a few stocking stuffer ideas to complete her Christmas (and in true budget boss fashion, they are all under $17!

AA- Sol Emergency Bivvy. Translation- Think emergency shelter/sleeping bag, meant to provide emergency shelter to help keep you alive in the event of an unexpected night in the woods. This Sol Kit is super lightweight, and comes with a tinder cord (aka fire starter) and whistle for $16.95.
